Third course: Tools for production of online courses


This course will be delivered in Spanish. Nevertheless, bilingual on-line support will be available to all English speaking people wishing to take this course.

This course intends to identify and characterize technologic tools used in online environments, by means of the knowledge acquired during this module and later on the appropriate selection of their best usage.

Specific objectives

  • Understanding the principles behind Information and Communication Technology (ICT), and their importance to the educational process.
  • Comprehending important e-learning concepts.
  • Defining and characterizing teaching resources in e-learning environments.
  • Discriminate between e-learning platforms varieties.
  • Get acquainted with the new trends in educational technology.

Duration and cost

The course is 8 weeks long and it is expected that participants spend approximately 10 hours a week to successfully complete the course.

Duration: September 29 to November 23, 2008

Registration fee is USD 200 and entitles you to:
